As leaders in advanced abrasion resistance, CQMS Razer (CR) have an extensive product range, technical expertise and down-to-earth service to meet all your wear resistance needs.
Our technical team specialise in designing and delivering wear packages to suit a variety of applications including Canadian Oil Sands screens, Iron Ore haul truck trays and processing plant wear protection. These packages are used and tested in some of the toughest environments on earth. From recommended packages, through to fully fabricated structures such as chutes, hoppers, bins, screens, tray liners, CR has the technology to deliver.
PACplate, our leading chromium carbide clad wear plate, delivers superior resistance to wear in any operating condition. Using the latest manufacturing technology, PACplate is proven to deliver industry benchmark wear resistance as tested using ASTM G65 wear testing, plus leading resistance to impact failure. Testing shows the PACplate can withstand more than six times the impacts that would deliver a central failure, and over 25% more impacts prior to edge failure.
Four grades of PACplate are available to cover high stress abrasion, high impact and high abrasion resistance, as well as combinations of high abrasion at elevated temperatures.
PACplate delivers superior wear and resistance to impact, whilst optimising your wear life and wear package weight.
CR fabrication services stand up to the toughest operating conditions.
Hardfacing + Overlay Innovation
Many wear products need flow surface, crutch or leading edge wear protection. A hard facing overlay allows very specifically, and highly-effective wear protection. We have standard hard facing, PTAW and tungsten carbide overlay patterns designed from years of field operations to suit specific applications such as teeth and adaptors – and the knowledge to customise. All of our work is undertaken in compliance with our in-house specifications to choose the optimum alloys, welding procedure, and part-heat preparation.
Building on our deep knowledge of the size and operational needs of the mining industry, we have the expertise and facilities to deliver large fabrications – for shutdown maintenance or new project work. From tender and project coordination, through to documented and certified fabrication to support during site installation, we have the right combination of fabrication service and support.
CR Service and Support
Our superior product range is backed up by fast delivery and the highest level of service and support. Committed to the longevity and efficiency of your operations, we offer regular on-site inspections, wear audits and performance evaluations to identify appropriate, cost-effective solutions for all your wear, plate and block needs – when and where you need it most.
Extreme Resistance and Protection
We can design custom parts to meet your exact specifications. There are over 2,500 standard shapes, many of which are stocked and available for delivery from our warehouses.
Technical Expertise and Advice
Best known for our extensive product knowledge, technical innovation and expertise, we develop precise specifications for all your speciality and custom wear products.
Our technical team offers:
• Extensive capability in product design and development
• On-site product trials for proven performance
• Liner material upgrades and improvements
• Detailed technical information for cutting and fabrication
• Wear packages, design, and layouts for draglines, excavators, rope shovels and dippers.
CR also use a variety of alloys such as molybdenum, vanadium, boron, nickel, and tungsten to meet individual project and environmental conditions — from high heat or increased impact resistance to fine particle dust abrasion.
RUBBADEX® combines Domite® with a rubber backing to achieve wear resistance and noise reduction properties in one. This product is an acoustic wear plate for abrasion and impact applications.
RUBBADEX® uses the same alloy as Domite® which is bonded and backed using either natural rubber or polyurethane. Our RUBBADEX® product is very effective in suppressing noise by up to 13 dbA. The steel backing and rubber sandwich impact toughness to the white iron and reduce vibration transmitted to the supporting structure.
RUBBADEX® wear plates offer an effective solution in mines and quarries, or anywhere there is a combination of wear and noise.
RUBBADEX® is available in thicknesses of up to 75mm and in all commonly used wear plate sizes. Refer to the list of standard offerings below and contact us for your special RUBBADEX® requirements.
Specifications and Sizes
RUBBADEX® is custom made from customer drawings for specific applications.
High Impact Application
Low to moderate impact application.
Chrome moly white iron bonded directly onto rubber with a steel backing plate is suitable for low to moderate impact applications.
Reinforced white iron for extreme durability and protection.
When medium impact and superior wear-resistant castings are required, REMAR® is the solution. Created by CR in 1982, REMAR® has a specially-coated steel mesh embedded inside the white iron as insurance against disintegration in operation. In a manner similar to reinforced concrete, the mesh preserves the integrity of the casting in the event of a crack occurring during service. REMAR® has proven to be a cost-effective and outstanding method of using hard, long-life, white iron in applications, where there is low to moderate impact.
REMAR® delivers long wear life and low risk of failure to keep your plant operating for longer. It also has proven durability and performance and is backed by CQMS Razer’s ongoing commitment to customer service.
Sizes and Specifications
REMAR® is ‘custom’ made from customer drawings for specific applications.
NiHard castings in buckets and liners can be supplied in standard shapes and sizes. Nihard can be cast into a variety of shapes (liners, buckets, plates) specific to customer requirements and specifications for multiple applications.
Applications for NiHard can include:
- Chute liners
- Mill liners
- Wear plates
- Deflector plates
We provide wear packages of multiple products including NiHard, or design to your specific drawings and specifications. NiHard is a white cast iron product with nickel and chromium alloying, which makes this structure suitable for products in high abrasive and high impact conditions.
Extreme resistance + Protection
CR is the proud pioneer of DOMITE® – a combination of high-chromium moly white iron, metallurgically bonded to a mild steel backing plate. With a nominal hardness of 700 Brinell (63Rc), the white iron casting provides maximum abrasion resistance. The mild steel backing plate is easily welded with minimal preparation and acts as a cushion for the white iron – making it capable of handling impact and abrasion in even the most extreme applications.
Available in more than 4,500 shapes and sizes, DOMITE® products can be cut or bent to suit an application prior to welding to customise the protection on your machine or equipment. We can design custom parts to meet your exact specifications.
Long-life DOMITE® offers the ultimate in protection for extreme applications resulting in increased production, less downtime + reduced maintenance costs’.
